Central Jakarta Urges Residents to Provide Trash Bin for Used Disposable Masks

Managers of markets, malls, and hotels and residents in Central Jakarta are asked to provide special trash bins for medical masks that have been used.

Central Jakarta Vice Mayor, Irwandi stated, sorting disposable medical masks waste is one of the efforts to overcome COVID-19.

"Please prepare closed trash bin for used disposable masks to prevent virus transmission. Mask waste shouldn't be disposed in open trash bins," he said, Thursday (7/1).

LH Agency Handles 1,231 Kilograms Disposable Masks Waste

He encouraged malls and hotels management to coordinate with Central Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-agency to manage disposable mask waste.

"LH Units in 8 sub-districts will handle disposable mask waste transporting," he conveyed.
